While Warren County has fallen somewhat behind in it’s recycling efforts, there are still several local businesses & Drop-off centers that accept materials for recycling. The City of Warren also has a curbside recycling program to collect aluminum cans, clear, brown & green glass; call 814-723-6300 for details for the City information. You can also click on the Drop-Off Sites button below for recycling locations near you.
WCSWA Recycling is trying to change this situation. As we get things organized with the various organizations that have to be involved & going, we hope that you the people of Warren County will do your part also & support these Drop-off sites. We know that there are many who do their own recycling in the outlying areas of the County & hope with the both our continued efforts the Recycling in Warren County will greatly increase. Many businesses in Warren Co. have their own in house recycling, we encourage you to support them in their efforts.
Here you will find the Drop-off sites we have in the various parts of
the County, other informational links on Recycling as they become
available & what is going on in the County with Recycling.
NOTE: THESE DROP OFF SITES ARE NOT FOR BUSINESSES, they are for the residents of the Townships. If you are not a resident of the Township, please make a donation to the Township for using the recycling drop-off. We all pay for this recycling privilege to have it available.
We would like to know what businesses in Warren County have their own in house recycling, if you do please contact us by email or phone with your name, address, phone number & what & how you recycle. This information will help us greatly with our yearly recycling tonnage totals, especially if you have a record of what you have recycled. Also if you are a business that takes recyclable materials from individuals, please contact our office with what you take so we can list you on our drop-off list.
"Freecycle" provides individuals & non-profits an electronic forum to "recycle" unwanted items. One rule: everything posted must be free. Whether it's a chair, a fax machine, piano, or an old door to be given away, it can be posted on the network. Non-profit organizations also benefit from the Freecycle Network. Post the item or items you want to give away & a local organization can help you get it to someone in need.
